This is a story about the exploration of the self.
Painting as a form of meditation.
An escape from the stressful,
objective and multisensory surroundings,
from a world full of other’s deadlines and expectations.
It is as a spontaneous and unpredictable process,
always starting with the colors that translate a specific state of mind.
Honest, transparent, restless, and (without a doubt) cathartic,
it translates itself in subconscious movements inspired by water, light and nature.
It is a continuous exercise of experimentation,
never conforming to one material or one way of representation,
always searching for something not yet found.
I am Ana, born in Lisbon, Portugal, 1991,
currently living in Hamburg, Germany.
I work as an architect but end up finding myself through painting.
